In 2007, as a young bush pilot in Zambia, I had the privilege of flying a young elephant named 'Chamilandu'. 
This was part of a rescue mission to home this orphaned elephant who's mother was shot by poachers. 
All this was possible thanks to the care of 
In 2015, Chamilandu was successfully released to the wild and now has a calf of her own!
